Join Israeli scientists in Melbourne

Melbourne is the capital city of the state of Victoria and is the second biggest city in Australia. The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) has ranked Melbourne the world’s most liveable city for a sixth consecutive year. The EIU index scores 140 of the world’s major cities in healthcare, education, stability, culture, environment and infrastructure. As such, it offers endless opportunities for cultural and social events.
The Jewish community is as diverse and liberal as the city itself, with 7 different Jewish schools catering for the entire range of Jewish life-styles. The Israeli community in the city is also large and vivid and everyone can find their way to fit in, should they choose to.
There are 3 world-leading Universities in Melbourne: Melbourne University, Monash University and La-Trobe University. Also, there are smaller academic institutes and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) which is Australia’s national science research agency.
We welcome all local Israeli researchers, new to Melbourne and seasoned, from any institute to join and take part in forming the branch’s focus and activities
