EACR-AACR-ISCR Conference: The Cutting Edge of Contemporary Cancer Research

The Israeli Society for Cancer Research is pleased to announce receiving philanthropic funding from an Israeli Foundation to support the attendance of Israeli postdocs working abroad in this conference.

Fifteen bursaries of at least $1000 and up to $2,000 will be awarded and each Meeting Bursary includes a free registration to the value of $335 and funds of up to $1,665 to support travel and accommodation*.

*Single room accommodation will be organised by the official Conference Organisers Ortra Ltd.  The rate per room per night including Israeli breakfast buffet and taxes will be US$ 155. The bursary cannot exceed the direct expenses.

Before filling in this Application Form, please carefully read the sections below. This will enable you to assess whether you are eligible to apply, and to help you to write your application.

Eligibility

• Applicants must have been working abroad for at least three months immediately prior to the application deadline.
• Applicants should have completed their PhD (or equivalent degree) less than six years from the application deadline. Exceptions may be made in the case of researchers who have had a professional break, such as illness or parental leave.

Application Guidelines & Evaluation Process

Finance: All qualifying travel costs should be shown in the ‘financial breakdown’ section. This includes flights, accommodation and transfers.

Supervisor endorsement letter: Each application must be accompanied by a signed letter from the applicant’s supervisor or team leader. This should reference the value to the researcher of attending the conference, and should confirm the financial need of the applicant.

Evaluation: All applications will be evaluated fully.
