The Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Haifa is pleased to invite applications for an open-rank specialist track position, with a preference to the fields of Marketing and Strategy, at the School of Business Administration, commencing on the 2025 academic year and pending budgetary approval.

 

Haifa School of Business Administration is a vibrant, diverse, collegial, and interdisciplinary group of researchers working on theoretical and empirical questions relevant to the fields of management and business. For 30 years, we have trained managers from a wide array of disciplines and occupational backgrounds. With thousands of graduates, our school is dedicated to help organizations achieve multiple purposes and to define success in terms of environmental, corporate governance, social, and financial outcomes. We are committed to educate our students to be informed managers, capable of carrying such balanced approach in their managerial roles. We are seeking an excellent candidate with the passion to join our team in the capacity of Program Director.

 

Successful candidates are expected to lead BA and MBA programs (develop, evaluate and update curriculum, plan and manage budget, recruit teaching staff, recruit students, coordinate the practicum module, etc.). The selected candidate will also need to teach classes in marketing and strategy, develop an online course, and initiate and organize extra-curriculum activities for students. Academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications.

 

This position requires a PhD in business administration, marketing, or related fields; a history of peer-reviewed publications, proven experience in management of programs/projects within or outside academia, and expertise in marketing and broad strategy consulting and decision making (understanding of industry dynamics, market trends, etc.).

 

Knowledge of Hebrew is not required, but successful applicants should be willing to learn the language, and are expected to teach in Hebrew starting from the fourth year of the appointment.
