Description

The School of Education is seeking highly qualified applicants for an open rank (rank determined by qualifications) tenure-track position.  We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in Educational  Psychology/School Psychology (with a preference for an educational  psychologist after internship). 

The successful candidate will (1) maintain a productive and significant  research program in the field of Educational Psychology/School Psychology,  broadly defined, or any subfield of psychology with direct applications to  educational settings . (2) Teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels  in educational psychology, including therapeutic and diagnostic courses. (3)  supervise graduate student research; (4) contribute to the department and  university.

* Qualifications Necessary: 

A PhD in Educational Psychology/Psychology, or a PhD in a related discipline. 

Research experience and skills in the field of Educational Psychology. A record of publications in leading, refereed journals and/or academic  presses 

Capacity to teach courses in the domain of Educational Psychology  and supervise research students in this field.  

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

A commitment to education and scholarship 

Desired: 

An educational psychologist after an internship 

Relevant teaching experience 

Experience supervising research students. 

Track record of securing research funding

For the rank of Lecturer: 3-4 References, at least 2 “independent” and at  least 2 from institutions abroad.

 

For the rank of Senior Lecturer: 4-5 References, at least 2 “independent”  and at least 2 from institutions abroad. 

For the rank of Professor: 5-6 References, at least 4 “independent” and at  least 3 from institutions abroad. 

Note:  

One of the letters should be from the candidate’s supervisor (Ph.D., M.Sc.,  Post Doc)
