Description

The Azrieli Fellows Program, now in its 11th year of operation, aims to create a cadre of leading professionals and academics who will increase the pool of scientific and scholarly human resources in Israel, and raise its international profile by maintaining strong ties between Israel and the global academic community. Operating in three modules the program supports graduate students from all of Israel’s research universities, faculty fellowships in Israeli universities and international post- doctoral fellowships under Israeli academic mentorship.

Responsibilities (amongst others):

• Full managerial responsibility for the existing Fellows Programs
• Development of future academic modules
• Expansion of the Program’s roster of activites for participants
• Full legal and monetary compliance with regulatory requirements of participating countries
• Analysis of the program’s objectives, KPIs, structure, processes and procedures
• Ensure the effectiveness of the services and activities to its beneficiaries, the quality of its connections to and communication with
particpating academic institutions
• Define processes and tools to review, evaluate and measure the program’s effectiveness
• Continue and strengthen the dialogue with universities in Israel and develop a fruitful dialogue with relevant universities outside of
Israel
• Define the parametres for global growth, collect and analyze data to facilitate program’s growth
• Travel internationally to recruit candidates and additional academic partners
• Review existing international academic programs to examine future potential collaborations
• Management of the program’s overall budget
• Work closely with the CFO on all financial matters related to the Program
• Participate in the periodic staff meetings of both the Azrieli Foundation in Israel and Canada

Qualifications

• Proven successful management and operational experience
• In depth knowledge of the world of academia
• Creative and flexible thinker, open-minded and curious
• Highly intelligent, with strong analytical skills
• Strategic thinker with hands-on capabilities
• Ability to build relationships with senior management in the global academic arena
• Mature, with outstanding interpersonal skills
• Strong work ethic, independent, self-motivated and a self-starter
• Advanced Academic Degree; PhD preferred
• Native proficency in English and Hebrew; Spanish and French proficiency advantageous
• Comfort with use of technological management platforms
