We are hiring enthusiastic and open-minded candidates for a Postdoc position for the development of innovative nanoscale sensors for agricultural applications. The lab is engaged in the development of novel optical biosensors/bioassays that will transform from a laboratory-based research into a real on-site “lab-on-chip” platforms for addressing problems in fields of agriculture, animal diagnostics, food safety and environmental monitoring and detection. We are currently working on heavy metals, mycotoxins, neurotoxins (i.e., botulinum), specific bacteria strains detection in real matrices (water, milk, plasma). We’re also developing combined spectroscopic platforms (refractometry and SERS – all-in-one), using diverse NPs for signal enhancement.
The candidate should have strong knowledge in material science, semiconductors processing, optical sensors, nanomaterials and thin films, microfluidics, surface chemistry and biological interfaces.
The research activities are carried within a multidisciplinary research and design team consisting scientists, engineers and students.
