Gal Manella, Ph.D.

Gal is a postdoctoral fellow at the California Institute of Technology, in the Lab of Prof. Michael Elowitz, and he is supported by the Zuckerman STEM leadership foundation. In the lab, he utilizes synthetic biology tools for the study of developmental processes. In his PhD, Gal studied mammalian circadian clocks in the lab of Prof. Gad Asher at the Weizmann Institute of Science. In addition, Gal performed research in history and philosophy of science, focused on the role of metaphors in the scientific process. In his free time, Gal enjoys hiking, reading, and playing the piano.
