Lior did all his degrees at the Biotechnology and Food Engineering Faculty in the Technion. After completing his B.Sc. with highest honors, he continued to an M.Sc. in the field of synthetic biology under the supervision of Prof. Roee Amit, where he was studying gene regulation of sigma-54 promoters in bacteria. Later, Lior started his Ph.D. studies at the lab of Prof. Marcelle Machluf, where he was focusing on drug delivery towards cancer using nanovesicles produced from mesenchymal stem cells and armed with moieties inspired by the immune system. These days, Lior works as a postdoctoral fellow at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) at the National Institute of Health (NIH) at Prof. Steven A. Rosenberg’s lab, in the field of cancer immunotherapy. Lior is seeking to understand the effect of  T cells phenotype on the clinical outcome of adoptive cell transfer therapies.
