1.1. The website of the organization of Israeli scientists abroad (hereinafter: “the website“) is a website owned by the organization of Israeli scientists abroad -ScienceAbroad (hereinafter: “ScienceAbroad“), which acts to preserve contact with Israeli scientists and researchers in the world and supports their return to Israel.
- Services which require registration
2.1. In order to use certain services in the website, you will need to register for the website and create a user account (hereinafter: “Member Account“). During registration for a Member Account, you will be required to enter into the website personal details such as your name, your Israeli identity card number, ways of communicating with you, including telephone number and e-mail address, details of your academic education and fields of research in which you are involved, curriculum vitae file etc (hereinafter: “the Details“). The curriculum vitae file may be uploaded to the website in WORD or PDF format only. A file sent in another format will not be accepted.
2.2. The fields which the registrant must fill in will be specifically marked and the users will not be able to create a Member Account without providing the required details in the obligatory fields. ScienceAbroad reserves the right to change from time to time the fields which must be filled while creating a Member Account in the website.
2.3. While registering, you must indicate specifically in the appropriate place that you are not interested in being included in the search engine for registered members of the website. It is made clear that your consent to be included in the search engine for registered members of the website constitutes an approval to present your full name, and also other details you provided about yourselves, to the registered members of the website, including the managers of the website and also any potential employer who will be given permission to access the search engine of the website. It is made clear that your e-mail address will not be revealed and the preliminary communication with you will be done via the website.
2.4. After registration to the website, you will be provided with a password via e-mail. The password will be used to identify you during logging to the Member Account you created (hereinafter: “the Password”). You are responsible for safeguarding the secrecy of the Password and all the activities taking place in the Member Account via your Password. Furthermore, you undertake not to forward the Password to a third party. If you know or you have a reason to believe that unauthorized use has been made of your Password and/or any other breach of secrecy has been done in your registered account by a third party, you undertake to immediately inform us of this to the e-mail address: firstname.lastname@example.org.
2.5. You hereby declare and undertake that all the information you provide at the time of registration and/or you update in the website after registering is genuine, correct, accurate and complete information about you. It is made clear that the website reserves the sole right to refuse to supply you with the services provided within or to terminate them, in cases where the information provided by you at the time of registering for the website and/or afterwards was not genuine, correct, accurate and complete information about you, all without giving advance notice.
3.1. ScienceAbroad is entitled to discontinue the use made by the visitorss and/or registered members of the website and/or the services given in the website, if they do not fulfill any of the terms of this agreement and/or the criteria fixed for implementation or use of the various services provided in the website.
3.2.1. You must not pretend to be any person or entity and/or make a false representation regarding your identity and/or the details of your education and/or your fields of activity and expertise and/or your connections to any person or entity.
3.2.2. You must not use the website in order to investigate or follow after registered users of the website or in order to harass them in any way. Furthermore, you are absolutely prohibited from using the website and the details of its registered members in order to deliberately harm them in any way.
3.2.3. You may not upload and/or send and/or transmit to the website any material which contains a kind of computer code which could disturb, limit or destroy the use of the website, i.e. the use of servers, the computers, the hardware and software of ScienceAbroad and/or any who act in its name. Furthermore, you may not take any action in the website which could disturb or interrupt in any way the activity of the website.
3.2.4. You must not take any action in any of the code parts of the website and data bases of the website, including their copying, processing, change, translation etc., without receiving permission in advance and in writing from ScienceAbroad.
3.2.5. You must not collect or store information about registered members of the website for commercial purposes or for carrying out illegal actions, inter alia the distribution of junk mail to them.
3.2.6. You must not present the website and/or its contents and/or the services within in the framework of another website or as part of another website, without receiving permission in advance and in writing from ScienceAbroad.
3.2.7. You may not use or allow others to use any computer application or any other means, including robot programs, spy programs etc. for the copying, scanning, retrieving and locating of any information and contents of the website.
4.2. Registration for a webinar gives you the possibility of participating only in a webinar at the specific time and date for which you registered. All the participants undertake to not use any foul or offensive language, not to insult and/or harass and/or hurt in any other way the other participants and/or the lecturers. Furthermore, the participants undertake not to express themselves in a way which constitutes defamation towards any person or which is contrary the laws of the State of Israel.
4.3. It is made clear that ScienceAbroad does not undertake that the contents of the webinars will be correct, complete, accurate or compatible with the expectations and/or demands of the participants. It is made clear that the contents of the webinars do not constitute a replace for a professional advice and the responsibility for the use and/or reliance on them is solely on users.
- Registration for the newsletter
Registration for the newsletter (mailing list) of the website is carried out via an active e-mail address and constitutes an active approval by the users to receive various updates from the website, including information about the various services offered by the website to registered members, events and other activities of ScienceAbroad.
- Job Center Board
7.2. All the positions advertised in the website are intended for both women and men, with no connection to their personal status, sexual inclination, age, family status, fertility treatments, in vitro fertilization, being a parent, their race, religion, nationality, country of origin, personal views, political party or reserve duty, being called up for reserve duty or their expect service in reserve duty, as defined in the Defence Service Law [Consolidated Version] 1986, including its frequency or duration. Employers who advertise positions in the website (including employers who are registered members of the website) (hereinafter: “the Employers“) undertake to advertise positions in an equal and non-discriminating way, in accordance with the Employment (Equal Opportunities) Law 1988.
7.3. The positions advertised in the website are offers which were entered into the website by various employers and the website bears no direct or indirect responsibility for their content and reliability and for any use made of them by the registered members. Any deal made between registered members and employers as a result of the posting of a notice in the website will be arranged directly between the parties and the website will not be a party to the deal or responsible for it in any way. Any contention, claim or demand on the part of registered members regarding any matter stemming from the positions offered in the website will be directed by them directly to the employers who posted the offer, and they will not have any claim and/or demand in this matter from the website and/or any person who acts in its name.
7.4. The Employers undertake not to advertise in the website fictitious positions or notices of positions the main purpose of which is to promote and/or market and/or advertise themselves and/or third parties.
7.6. The website does not guarantee, at its sole discretion, to publish all positions sent to it by the various Employers, and the Employers waive any contention and/or demand and/or claim in this matter.
- Benefits offered to members of the ScienceAbroad community
We at ScienceAbroad strive greatly with various entities in order to provide members of the ScienceAbroad community with worthwhile benefits from time to time. The benefits are advertised in the website and in the newsletter and are intended for members of the ScienceAbroad community and are not to be forwarded and/or implemented by a third party (hereinafter: “the Benefits”). It is made clear that ScienceAbroad is not responsible for the nature and/or quality of the services and/or the products given by the various entities which offer the Benefits. ScienceAbroad reserves the right to terminate at any time, and at its sole complete discretion, the contact with the various entities offering the Benefits and/or to change, in coordination with them, the terms of the Benefits offered.
- Grants offered to members of the ScienceAbroad community
ScienceAbroad offers from time, in cooperation with various entities, grants intended for members of the community registered in the website (hereinafter: “the Grants”) and who fulfill various preconditions detailed when submitting candidacy for the Grant. It is made clear that ScienceAbroad does not guarantee that the Grant will be awarded to all members of the community who submit their candidacy to receive a Grant. It is also made clear that ScienceAbroad acts as a mediator only and is not responsible for any breach and/or failure to award the Grants by the various entities which award them. ScienceAbroad reserves the right to terminate at any time, and at its sole and absolute discretion, the contact with the various entities offering the Grants to the members of the community registered in the website and/or to change in cooperation with them the preconditions for giving the offered Grants.
ScienceAbroad is entitled to integrate into the website links to various internet pages of third parties. The internet websites to which these links lead are not under the control of ScienceAbroad and/or supervised by it, and most of their contents are not on behalf of ScienceAbroad. The fact the website contains links to these internet pages does not indicate ScienceAbroad approves their content and/or constitute a guarantee of their correctness, authenticity and lawfulness and the practices of the owners of such contents on privacy matters and in any other aspect related to their operation. ScienceAbroad is not responsible for the contents presented in the internet websites to which the links in the website lead and is not responsible for any direct or indirect damage caused as a result of use of them and/or reliance on them. ScienceAbroad does not undertake that the links in the website will be in order and will lead the visitors of the website to an active internet website. ScienceAbroad is entitled to remove from the website, from time to time, and at its sole discretion, links that were included in it in the past.
11.1. Use of the website, including use of the services provided within, will be done on the sole responsibility of the visitors and/or the registered members of the website.
11.2. The visitors and/or the registered members of the website will not have any contention, demand or claim towards ScienceAbroad in any matter connected with the contents of the website and/or the services provided within.
11.3. ScienceAbroad does not undertake that the contents of the website will be correct, complete, accurate or compatible with the expectations and/or demands of the visitors and/or the registered members of the website. It is made clear that the purpose of the contents and services offered in the website are to supply information only and do not constitute in any way a replace for a professional counseling and/or advice and/or an opinion and the responsibility for use and/or reliance on them is shall be on those who use them alone.
11.4. ScienceAbroad does not undertake that the contents of the website and/or the services provided within will be given uninterruptedly and/or without any disturbances. It is made clear that the contents of the website and the services provided within are not immune to unauthorized access to the computers of ScienceAbroad or from any damage or faults which might be caused, either to ScienceAbroad or by to any of its suppliers, to hardware, software or communication lines and arrays, and visitors and/or registered members to the website will not have any contention and/or demand and/or claim towards ScienceAbroad in this matter.
11.5. ScienceAbroad is entitled to change from time to time, at its sole discretion, the structure of the website and its design, the extent and availability of the contents and/or the services provided within and also any other aspect of the activity of the website, all without the need to give notice of this in advance to visitors and/or the registered members of the website. Scienceabroad is entitled to terminate at any time the services offered by it, all or part of them, and also to remove and/or block access to the website, wholly or partly.
11.6. The visitors and/or the registered members of the website will not have any contention, claim and/or demand towards ScienceAbroad regarding cessation of the services as stated above and/or the carrying out of changes as stated and/or faults which might arise as a result of their being carried out.
- Intellectual Property
All the copyright and intellectual property in the webinars (whether they are stored and presented in this website or in an external website) and also the various contents contained in the website, including pictures, video and/or voice files, text or any other document or electronic detail uploaded to the website, either by existing media or media which will exist in the future, belong to ScienceAbroad or to third parties which have allowed ScienceAbroad to use them. It is made clear that ScienceAbroad is not the owner of the rights in the curriculum vitae which are uploaded to the website by the registered members, but only in the way and design which they appear in the website. Any use of the contents appearing in the website and/or use of the webinars, including copying, distribution, display and/or public performance, broadcasting, placing in the public domain, arranging, creating a derivative work, sale or rent of any part of them, either by you or through or in cooperation with a third party, in any way or by any means, will be done only with the prior consent of the rights owner. The users undertake to compensate ScienceAbroad for any damage caused to it, including claims by third parties, because of unauthorized use of contents as stated above.
