The opportunity

How you’ll spend your day

Academic affairs and Networks (AAN) is a team within Teva’s Global R&D, with a mission to identify and manage strategic academic collaborations. Our goal is to seed innovation in Teva and help build Teva’s future drug discovery and preclinical assessment of novel therapeutics and cutting edge technologies. This fascinating task includes scouting for new collaboration opportunities according to Teva’s strategic interests, managing collaborations and specifically scientific management, grant management, management of engagement in international and local consortia, and contributing in depth scientific knowledge to the projects.

The team member will mainly assist in managing the portfolio of projects in the field of immunotherapy and/or Neuroimmunology, including diverse and highly impactful scientific collaborations.

 

Job description:

The team member will assist in managing academic collaborations, and will be required to have high expertise and experience in immunology/autoimmune disorders/neuroimmunology.

The main tasks will be:

• Scientific consulting- consult on ongoing collaborations, monitor the progress and work together with external and internal teams to advance the projects.

• Scouting – understanding the strategic needs of different functions in Teva and identifying relevant partners in academia worldwide, establishing new collaborations

• Involvement in large scale EU consortia – be involved and lead activity in large scale European healthcare consortia, manage large scale collaboration, find new opportunities and represent Teva.

In this role, the team member is expected to demonstrate both rigorous and creative scientific and analytical breadth. Flexibility is required in moving between projects according to needs.

 

Your experience and qualifications

• Expert scientific background (PhD or post doc in immunology/autoimmune/neuroimmunology, experience in involvement in EU consortia – a plus)

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Strong interpersonal skills, networking and a true team player
