Ayal Taitler, Ph.D.

Ayal is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Toronto, working with Prof. Scott Sanner. His research interests lie at the intersection of reinforcement learning, automated planning, and control theory for decision-making. Ayal received his PhD from the Technion working on hybrid planning under the joint supervision of Prof. Erez Karpas and Prof. Per-Olof Gutman. Before that he received his MSc in RL for robotic Air-Hockey under the supervision of Prof. Nahum Shimkin, and a BSc both from the ECE faculty of the Technion. He has over 10 years of industry experience in software engineering and AI research, and was a lecturer at the ECE faculty at the Technion.
