Idan Biran, Ph.D.

Idan is a postdoctoral scholar at VISION – Center for Visualizing Catalytic Processes, at the Technical University of Denmark. Idan received his B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, and his M.Sc. in Nanoscience & Nanotechnology, both from the Technion.  He was first exposed to low-dose transmission electron microscopy during his Master’s, and continued developing low-dose TEM techniques at the Weizmann Institute of Science working mainly on small organic molecules and polymer crystals. In his postdoctoral research, Idan focuses on in situ catalysis studies using an environmental TEM.
