Tamar Dishon, Ph.D.

Tamar is a postdoctoral scholar at the laboratory of Prof. Alon Goren, in the Department of Medicine at the University of California San Diego. She is interested in molecular pathways associated with autism and how deficiencies of chromatin regulators affect neuronal progenitor cells, neurons and astrocytes derived from hiPSCs.

Tamar earned her PhD at Bar Ilan university, after graduating her M.Sc and B.Sc. in Biology at the Technion – Israel institute of Technology.

In her spare time, she volunteers at Kindness-G’mach San Diego and takes her family to as many hiking trips as her kids let her.
