Dr. Yaara Endevelt-Shapira is a research scientist at the Institute of Learning and Brain Sciences. She earned her B.Sc. in Food Engineering and Biotechnology from the Technion, Israel. She completed M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the department of Neurobiology, the Weizmann Institute of science, Israel, where she worked with Prof. Noam Sobel on olfaction and social chemosignals in autism spectrum disorders. She conducted post-doctoral work at the Center for developmental social neuroscience, Reichman University, Israel, where she worked with Prof. Ruth Feldman on social chemosignaling during early development, employing dual-EEG to measure adult-infant inter-brain synchrony.

Dr. Endevelt-Shapira research focuses on human social interactions and social neurodevelopment, utilizing both behavioral and neurophysiological methods to measure interpersonal behavioral and neural synchrony between infants and adults during natural face-to-face interactions.
